Why Granite?
Granite is a tough, durable volcanic rock composed primarily of feldspar, quartz and mica. Other minerals present account for the various colors. Millions of years ago it started as molten rock miles below the earth's surface. As various elements melted together the mixture varied, creating different colors all over the world. As the rock slowly cooled and compressed over the span of a million years, it hardened into one of the hardest natural materials on earth. Special tools allow us to cut and finish the stone, while being able to take advantage of its durable qualities.
